These six images are from a large collection of neglected slides that my grandfather took between the 1950s to the 1980s. Grandpa ended up leaving me with about 5,000 slides to discover at the same time my love for photography led me to buy my first scanner in 2014. I felt very fortunate to be allowed a glimpse into my family's history and have the opportunity to learn technique from my grandpa in a way I didn't think possible. Later in life my family would suffer the early passing and disappearance of both my uncles. As the 2nd generation, these images allow me into a time before our family tragedy. I am still in the process of scanning, organizing, and editing these slides. I plan to continue working on my grandfather's work and eventually print a book.
